With so much going on this awards season, it’s nice to ask that age old question, “Who is she wearing?” Here are the ones I found most intriguing, exciting and drool-worthy from this years Oscars.
Emily Blunt looked great showing off her pregnancy in Prada. She’s wearing the color of the year plus all over embellishment that makes it so fun!
Tina Fey rocked this deep purple dress by Oscar de la Renta that wrapped around her body beautifully. This is one of my favorite looks she’s ever done.
I surprised myself by how much I loved Cate Blanchett in this light, airy, 3-D Armani Privé dress. The cut and color alone are great on her, but this dress evoked emotion for me. It felt like it could float, like it had a story. And who doesn’t love a good story?
Black dresses on the red carpet often don’t photograph well because they are so dark that sometimes the look flat, but if you’re gonna do black, this is how you should do it. Jennifer Garner dazzled me in Atelier Versace. This had so much dimension and presence that I couldn’t help but love it.
And what is a top 10 dress list from me without floor length sequins? That’s not possible. If that ever happens, know that I’m signaling for help. This list’s favorite sequin number goes to Margot Robbie in gold Tom Ford. The sequins feel serpentine, which gives it a live quality, and the deep V keep this look from being too covered.
Olivia Munn showed up wearing my favorite color in this simple Stella McCartney gown. It’s so understated, but the arm capelet and amazing fit make you want a closer look – not to mention that matching lip!
Lady Gaga wore two versions of this kind of style by Brandon Maxwell on Sunday and this one from the Vanity Fair after party was by far my favorite. I love a pantsuit with dress details and she still had a shape under all the layers.
Okay I couldn’t resist here’s another full on sequin number. Once again we see the color of the year, this time on Rachael McAdams and she’s showing decidedly more of her fit frame. It’s so girly and classy and strappy…it actually kind of reminds me of the 90’s. I think it’s the incredibly thin straps and the silver heels. Am I crazy or do you love it too?
Well those are my favorites from the Oscars! Did your favorite make this list? If not, comment below and let me know what dress you liked the most!
